Anvil Paladin Is Supposedly A New Gunship Coming To Star Citizen

by Cole Phelps

While Star Citizen players are gearing up for IAE 2954 to welcome new flight-ready ships such as Polaris, Starlancer Max, Intrepid, and Terrapin Medic, CIG is also secretly preparing a brand-new concept announcement at the finale of the event.

According to the leaked data originating from Pipeline, Anvil Paladin will be introduced to Star Citizen on Day 9 of IAE 2954, when Anvil Aerospace takes over the show floors.

The details about Anvil Paladin are scarce, but it is supposed to be a new gunship, a segment for which Anvil doesn’t have anything to offer at the moment. So, it is expected that Paladin will be a direct competitor either to Aegis Hammerhead or Retaliator.

The leaks claim that the size of the new ship will be big, almost in the same dimensions as Carrack. In that case, Paladin should be considered a rival to Hammerhead, but the loadout is also quite important before we can sum up a comparison.

If the ship is supposed to go head-to-head with Hammerhead, then the price range should be somewhere around $700. It is believed that Paladin will only have a single variant, and it’s a combat-focused ship.

The gameplay for gunships could ramp up significantly with the arrival of Pyro, as pirate players will no longer have the fear of UEE or prison, so gunships will play a crucial role in dominating the new unlawful star system, be it raiding other players or charging them for protection.

The Anvil family will deliver F7C-R Hornet Tracker Mk 2 and F7C-S Hornet Ghost Mk 2 with the release of the upcoming Alpha 3.24.3 to the PU. Also, Anvil Legionnaire is in the works as well and it was supposed to be released in 2024, but CIG forced to push it back.

The release date for Anvil Paladin is not really in sight, as we doubt it can be anywhere in the plans for 2025 ships, but we will learn more about the new gunship once the official page goes live.
