TLDR:
- Players will first need to reach Level 10 to unlock Rank System.
- After that, players should enable the Rank Points before matchmaking in Tactical Ops mode.
- Killing other players and AI enemies will earn you Rank Points. At lower ranks, looting will reward points as well.
- Rank Points can only be activated on certain maps based on the player’s current rank.
Arena Breakout Infinite offers a new competitive element with the release of its Early Access version, where players earn or lose Rank Points based on their performance in a Tactical Ops match.
This is a new system that works quite like the ranked system in any other competitive game, but it is separated from the player’s level, which increases by earning XP with no penalties.
How To Earn Rank Points
First, you must reach Level 10 to unlock the Ranked System. Once done, you can earn Rank Points on certain maps. The maps that offer Rank Points are highlighted with a squad icon next to their name when you pick the map before matchmaking. These maps are different from one rank to the other.
The most important part that you probably miss is the Rank Points’ activation in the matchmaking screen. On the bottom left corner of the screen, you can spot the map you have selected, and on top of that, there is a small radio button that is turned off by default. If you want to earn Rank Points in the match, you must turn this button on. If you click on it, the game will ask you to confirm that you want to enable Rank Points.
Players can earn Rank Points for killing other players and AI enemies. You will earn more points for killing higher-level players or well-armed NPCs. If a player fails to extract, they will lose some Rank Points based on their rank. However, if you perform well enough during the match, you may earn some points in the end, despite failing to extract.
At ranks below Expert, players will also get more points for looting. Higher-value loots will have bonus points. Also, a Perfect Extraction will add bonus Rank Points to your bank.
Along with Rank Points, players will also earn Challenge Tokens, which can be spent in the Season Store to buy new items, such as Reinforced Case Trial Cards, Weapon Case, and more.
