TLDR:
- The first suggested deck includes Zap, Ram Rider, Fire Spirit, Flying Machine, Valkyrie, Tesla Tower, Firecracker, and Bomber.
- The second suggested deck includes Zap, Cannon, Electro Wizard, Electro Spirit, Giant Snowball, Goblin Machine, Knight, and Giant.
- If you destroy the opponent’s Elixir Barrel before it disappears on its own, you can steal 4 Elixir from the opponent.
- Spells are the best cards to destroy the opponent’s Elixir Barrel just in time.
Have you ever thought about your Elixir production facility in Clash Royale? You always receive Elixir based on a flat rate and there is no actual structure on the battlefield for it. Well, the Barrels O’ Fun event changes how this works.
In this event, every player will get an Elixir Barrel somewhere in the middle of their side, and the Barrel will produce Elixir based on a flat rate, though there is a big catch here. If you manage to destroy the enemy player’s barrel before it runs out of HP on its own, then you will steal 4 Elixir directly from the opponent’s back.
This is a huge, game-changing rule in the game and the actual winning edge. If you do this for every Elixir Barrel, your opponent will run out of Elixir sooner or later, and you will have the upper hand in attacks or counter-attacks, while your enemy has nothing to defend itself.
While most spell cards are banned in this event, you still have access to Zap, The Log, and Tornado to pull off the strings. So, as you can easily guess, you must have at least one of these spells in your deck!
One-Spell Deck
Cards | Elixir |
Zap (Evolution Spot) | 2 |
Ram Rider | 5 |
Fire Spirit | 1 |
Valkyrie | 4 |
Tesla Tower | 4 |
Firecracker | 3 |
Bomber | 2 |
Flying Machine | 4 |
Tower Troop | Dagger Duchess |
As told earlier, you must use Zap when the enemy player’s Elixir Barrel is one hit away from being destroyed to steal that 4 Elixir. So, you must always have Zap in your hand ready to be deployed, and since this deck features only one spell, you must take good care of that Zap.
At the beginning of the match, try to spawn troops in the back of the King Tower, so that you can support the attack with more units after destroying the opponent’s Elixir Barrel.
Also, make sure that before hitting the Elixir Barrel, you should not have your Elixir bank filled, or you will waste all the stolen Elixir from the opponent.
Ram Rider is an incredible option to strengthen the attacking move right after hitting the Elixir Barrel, knowing that your opponent will not have much resources to deny it or the other pushing units, though they could strengthen their defense by following the same strategy by hitting your Elixir Barrel. So, always keep a few Elixir in the back for a possible counterattack.
We suggest you have a Flying Machine in every attack, as it can deal significant damage as a support unit, while not cannonized by Crown Tower or aerial units.
Double-Spell Deck
Cards | Elixir |
Zap (Evolution Spot) | 2 |
Cannon | 3 |
Giant Snowball | 2 |
Giant | 5 |
Electro Spirit | 1 |
Goblin Machine | 5 |
Electro Wizard | 4 |
Knight | 3 |
Tower Troop | Dagger Duchess |
The Double-Spell deck will give you a bigger safety zone, especially when you are playing against a deck with many spam units. You can easily swap Giant Snowball with The Log if you want, but timing the deployment of The Log to hit the Elixir Barrel is a little bit risky.
Goblin Machine and Knight are your tanky units to push forward in this deck. If aerial units like Minions or Bats target them, make sure to deploy Electro Spirit behind them or use your Zap, knowing that Giant Snowball will be in your hand soon to hit the Elixir Barrel.
Electro Wizard is a solid defensive option next to Cannon to stop your enemy from using rushing troops like Hog Rider or Balloon to hit your Crown Tower or Elixir Barrel.
