The new Clash Royale event is now live and it introduces a mechanic similar to that of Goblin Queen Journey, but this time around, it is all about melee damage dealers rather than goblins.
Each player has a progression bar that requires 15 Elixir spent on melee troops to fill in. Once the bar is full, your next melee deployment will drop either a Pekka or Mega Knight Evolution. It is always Pekka for the first drop and Mega Knight for the second one.
Keep in mind that melee damage dealers must have a normal spawn. For example, Royale Delivery is a melee unit at its core, but since its deployment also deals AOE damage, it will not count as a melee unit. The same goes for Goblin Barrel as well.

Keep in mind that it is important to save your aerial units like Phoenix, Minions, or Bats to damage the opponent’s upcoming Pekka or Mega Knight as they are both defenseless against any kind of air attack. Also, Royal Recruits is a pretty valuable card to counter either of the evolutions that will drop through the progression bar.
The Clash Melee event will be available until next Monday. There will be a challenge of the same name available this weekend as well, with more Season Tokens to offer.
