Best Goblinstein Decks In Clash Royale

by Cole Phelps

The long-awaited Goblin Champion in Clash Royale was finally introduced with the arrival of Season 64, and any player who runs the game and completes a few easy missions will receive Goblinstein for free!

Now, that we all own Goblinstein, it’s time for tons of trials and errors to find decks that benefit from Goblinstein’s power the most. The new champion is a master of defeating spam units, which means players likely need to fill in the gap to deny the tanky units.

Goblinstein himself only targets buildings, but his master will deal shock damage to every unit that comes close enough. Activating the special ability of Goblinstein will create an electricity link between the giant and the master, dealing continuous damage to any troop that comes close to the link.

Even if Goblinstein dies, it drops an antenna on the ground, which still allows the master to trigger the special ability between him and the antenna. However, if the master dies before Goblinstein, the ability cannot be activated anymore.

Goblinstein is a great unit when it is used as a distraction, and that’s how players are expected to use it in Deck 1 and Deck 2.

When it comes to Deck 1, Goblinstein will push forward to absorb all the attention, while Skeleton Barrel flies right above him and stays secured. When Goblinstein is close enough to the crown tower or any other build along the way, activate its ability to create a link and prevent the enemy’s troops from getting close to either Goblinstein or Skeleton Barrel.

Inferno Dragon in Deck 1 is the main counter against tanky units like Mega Knight or Pekka. Ice Spirit and Minions can also help with that, but don’t spawn them all together or you will lose them all with a Fireball.

Firecracker is best to support the Goblinstein push from behind, and Valkyrie will remain in your hand as a defensive unit to keep the opponent’s attackers away from the crown towers.

Moving onto Deck 2, things don’t change that much. The role of Skeleton Barrel has been replaced with Suspicious Bush here, and Mega Minion will do the same job as Minions. This deck might be a little bit weak in the air, but Lumberjack will compensate for that, thanks to his extreme attack and movement speed on the ground.

Lastly, we have Deck 3 which operates completely differently. Again, Goblinstein will serve as the pushing unit here, but it will not be a distraction anymore. the player needs to support Goblinstein as much as possible, using Dart Goblin, Firecracker, and Baby Dragon. Valkyrie and Knight will serve as defensive units, but they can join the attack in case of a counter-attack.

Tesla Tower is an important part of this deck, as it will keep rushing troops like Hog Rider away from the crown tower.
