COD Black Ops 6 Zombies Will Let You Save And Quit Mid-Match

by Cole Phelps

TLDR:

  • Solo Zombies players in Black Ops 6 will have a single save slot to quit the game and resume later where they left off.
  • The Zombies mode will still require an online connection.
  • There will be a new Zombies Build available in Black Ops 6 to save custom builds of weapons and get them in-match.
  • Black Ops 6 Zombies will allow switching between first-person and third-person views.

Activision and Treyarch shared tons of new details today about the Zombies mode in Call of Duty Black Ops 6, while also showcasing one of the round-based maps, Terminus.

While the map looks absolutely stunning in the attention to detail, Treyarch announced something quite special about the whole Zombies experience in Black Ops 6 that could probably improve the experience for solo players. And that’s a save system!

So, if anyone plays a match of Zombies solo in Black Ops 6, they will be able to save the match at any point and quit. Later, when you come back, you can pick up where you left off in the match.

While this sounds more like an offline feature, Black Ops 6 Zombies will still require an online connection, and so will the new save system. Also, keep in mind that each player will only have a single save slot available. So, only one playthrough can be saved.

Aside from that, more details were revealed during the Terminus gameplay videos shared by those who got to play early. Treyarch announces a new Zombies Build option before starting a match, which allows players to customize a weapon in the gunsmith and place it inside this special build. Once done, whenever the player receives that specific weapon in a match of Zombies, the game will grant the customized variant to the player.

Furthermore, there will be the option to instantly switch from first-person to third-person view in the Zombies mode. This will specifically help players with the zombies that could approach from behind.

The weapon progression in Zombies and Multiplayer will be synced in Black Ops 6. The same goes for Classic Prestige progression in the game.

Customizable HUD is another new feature coming with Black Ops 6 Zombies. Players will be able to toggle different indicators on the screen on or off. There will also be a streamer mode with a designated place for streamers to put their face cam view.

Speaking of the Terminus map itself, there will be a bunch of interesting environmental weapons to kill Zombies such as Void Cannon that sucks zombies inside an Aether beam or Tentacles Trap that hits zombies passing beneath it.

The Terminus matches will take place during nighttime, and players will have access to boats at some specific points, which allows them to explore the map faster and travel to some of the smaller islands around the main body of the map.

Aside from Terminus, Black Ops 6 will also feature Liberty Falls as the second Zombies map at launch, but the gameplay footage for it will be revealed later. For now, we only know that Liberty Falls is a daytime map and takes place in a town.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will launch on October 25, 2024. You can expect an upcoming multiplayer beta taking place between August 30 and September 4 for those who have either pre-purchased the game or obtained a beta code.

An open beta will also launch on September 6 with free access to everyone, running until September 9.
