All CitizenCon 2024 Leaks About Star Citizen

by Cole Phelps

With Alpha 3.24.2 in the PTU, Star Citizen dataminers have managed to discover some files that refer to a number of unannounced ships. Since the code of Alpha 3.24.2 is based on the upcoming Alpha 4.0, these leaks have gone out before CIG gets the chance to officially announce them.

Star Citizen’s annual festival CitizenCon will kick off on October 19, 2024, and as always, CIG has a lot of surprising news to share with both Squadron 42 and Star Citizen fans in the event. This year, however, fans may know what they are supposed to see on the Ship Talk panel, where CIG reveals new vessels every year.

Please keep in mind that all of the following data have been extracted from Star Citizen’s data and are yet to be announced officially. As such, the projects might never see the day of light or might not be revealed at this year’s CitizenCon, although they exist on the developer’s side.

Updated on October 13, 2024: Added some more information about Argo CSV.

MISC Fortune

Single-Seat Salvage Ship And Competitor To Drake Vulture

MISC Fortune Tease from Star Citizen

MISC already has a single-seat mining ship, which is the go-to for any solo miners, and now the manufacturer is touching on salvage with a similar approach, as Fortune will be competing directly with Drake Vulture.

Fortune comes with Size-1 salvage heads and is capable of both RMC and CM salvaging. The ship can pack materials inside cargo boxes, just like Vulture. However, it is unknown what the cargo bay capacity and material storage size are, which could probably be the main difference between Fortune and Vulture.

Aside from Size-2 coolers, power plants, and guns, all the other components in MISC Fortune are Size-1, which reveals it is going to be a small salvage ship for starters and solo scrapers.

MISC Starlancer

Coming In 2 Variants To Rival RSI’s Zeus and Constellation Series

Misc Starlancer Tease from Star Citizen

It’s hard to guess which ships are going to be challenged by MISC Starlancer, but the data mining info reveals that Starlancer will come in two variants: Exploration and Cargo. Apparently, Starlancer has a ramp that allows access to the cargo grid, but there is also a mention of an elevator among the ship’s data.

Starlancer could be another mid-size ship from MISC, but probably bigger and better equipped than Freelancer and its variants. So, this leaves us with the assumption that Starlancer will be something on the level of RSI Zeus or Constellation. The ship comes with Size-2 coolers and powerplants next to Size-3 shield generators. Weaponary-wise, it has two Size-4 pilot weapons, two Size-4 remote turrets, and four Size-4 missile racks.

These components make Starlancer sound similar to the Constellation series but with quite an interesting extra feature: a drone system. Starlancer features a drone operating seat, which is a big plus for it. The drone gameplay has not yet been implemented, but Starlancer may introduce that to PU in the future.

Crusader Intrepid

Crusader’s Small Starter Ship

Crusader Intrepid Tease from Star Citizen

After delivering C1 as a mid-size multi-role ship, now Crusader is about to announce its first-ever starter ship. Intrepid is going to challenge Drake Cutter and Gatac Syulen, coming with Size-1 components in every part, and inheriting a special feature from the Ares series.

Intrepid will feature a bespoke gun in front, similar to that of Ares Ion or Ares Inferno. It is yet to be seen what the gun’s type is supposed to be, but the ship will also carry a Size-1 missile rack.

There will be a cargo space and a ramp to enter the ship, which probably means it is going to look like a smaller version of C1 Spirit in design.

Mirai Guardian

A Heavy Fighter Inheriting Fury’s Design

Possible Mirai Guardian concept from Star Citizen

After delivering lots of popular snub fighters and racing ships, the next surprise from Mirai is actually a heavy fighter that will compete with the likes of Aegis Vanguard, Crusader Ares, and maybe Anvil F8C.

Mirai Guardian comes with two Size-5 weapons in the front, which is its main source of power in dogfights. There has been no mention of a turret for it yet.

Guardian will feature four Size-4 missile racks that carry up to eight Size-3 missiles overall. The ship comes with only one Size-2 shield generator, but it has a major selling point: a suit locker with a bed!

RSI Zeus Mk 2 ST

A New Zeus Variant To Transport Passengers

RSI Zeus Series from Star Citizen

It seems like Crusader E1 Spirit has a competitor before it even arrives. The datamining files reveal that CIG has a secret new variant of RSI Zeus Mk 2 in the pipeline that is focused on transporting passengers, just like what E1 Spirit is supposed to do!

This new version will come with both passenger seats and specific cargo space for transporting what passengers would want to carry to their destination. The details and design of the ship are yet to be revealed or teased officially.

Greycat CAV & ARGO CSV

Two New Ground Vehicles For Different Purposes

ARGO CSV Tease from Star Citizen

First things first, the data on these two vehicles are quite limited. To be frank, we just know that they are land vehicles at the moment with Size-0 components.

ARGO CSV comes in two variants: CSV-SM and CSV-FM. The former is a cargo carrier similar to a hover trolley but with a smaller capacity and a driver seat. There is no clear information of the FM variant, but we do know that both of these vehicles have been designed for base-building purposes!

Greycat CAV, on the other hand, seems to be a wheeled ground vehicle for military purposes, as it will have some missile racks and a rear seat.
