With the arrival of Town Hall 17 to Clash of Clans, a lot will change about this game as the new Town Hall not only shakes up the defensive meta in the game but also adds some new troops and spells to help the raiders.
The new update introduces Minion Prince as a new hero along with a few new defensive troops to help players fortify their village against invaders, as well as a brand-new weapon for the Town Hall itself.
Town Hall 17 Requirements And Unlocks
In order to build Town Hall 17, players must already have Town Hall 16 along with Eagle Artillery Level 7. Merging these two buildings and paying 20 million Gold on top will allow the construction of Town Hall 17, which will take 15 days.
Once Town Hall 17’s construction is finished, the access to the following buildings will unlock:
- 2x Firespitter
- 1x Giga Bomb
- 1 Extra Archer Tower
- 1 Extra Multi-Archer Tower
- 1 Extra Ricochet Cannon
- 1 Extra Giant Bomb
- 1 Extra Seeking Air Mine
It’s worth noting that Town Hall 17’s storage capacity for Gold, Elixir, and Dark Elixir will be the same as that of Town Hall 16.
The new weapon installed on Town Hall 17, Inferno Artillery, will always be active, unlike the previous Town Hall weapons that only activate when someone deals damage to them.
Inferno Artillery fires 4 projectiles every 3 seconds and each projectile leaves a Fire zone after hitting the target that deals AOE damage over time. When Town Hall 17 is destroyed, however, it will not leave a Poison bomb in place.

Minion Prince Requirements, Abilities, And Stats
Minion Prince will be available to all players at Town Hall 9 or higher. There is no cost to acquire Minion Prince, but the players must have the Hero Hall building in the village, which becomes available at Town Hall 7.
Minion Prince is a flying unit that deals ranged damage and launches with two abilities: Henchman Puppet and Dark Orb. The former spawns two melee Guardian Minions that get ahead of Minion Prince to distract defense units while attacking their targets. The latter, however, is a long-ranged projectile that slows down anything on its path for a certain duration.

Revive Spell Requirements And Stats
Revive Spell will only be available for players that own Town Hall 15 or higher, along with a Spell Factory of Level 8 or higher.
After dropping the Revive spell on the dead body of a hero, they will resurrect with 60% health and begin to attack the village. Players can have more than one Revive Spell and they can use it to revive a hero multiple times.
Keep in mind that each Revive Spell can only revive one hero. Also, it cannot revive normal troops. Upgrading the spell will increase the amount of health the hero will be able to revive.

Builder’s Apprentice And Lab Assistant
All players at Town Hall 10 or higher will now receive a new building called Helper Hut that costs 1 million Elixir. This will be the home to the Builder’s Apprentice and his new co-worker Lab Assistant. While Builder’s Apprentice can speed up construction, Lab Assistant will speed up research. At Level 1, both units will speed up the process by 1 hour.
Thrower Requirements And Stats
Thrower is a new ranged troop and it requires Barracks Level 18. Thrower can deal damage to both air and ground targets, but it can attack one target at a time.
