Clash Royale: Best Deck In Magical Trio Event

by Cole Phelps

First, we got the Void Spell, then we received the Wizard Evolution, and now it’s time for an event-exclusive card in Clash Royale, the Wizard Trio!

The name of this week’s event is a hint at the new card that spawns Wizard, Electro Wizard, and Ice Wizard simultaneously while using less Elixir than the sum of all three cards’ cost. We spent some time, crafted a bunch of decks, and figured out the best combination that works perfectly in the Magical Trio event!

Not that you can’t find any other decks better than this, but the Wizard Trio card serves best as a support unit since there are multiple counters for destroying all three wizards at once if they venture forth alone. Some of the cards that can quickly wipe the Magical Trio include Valkyrie, Mega Knight, Pekka, Royal Delivery, and Barbarians. Knowing that the Wizard Trio card costs 7 Elixir, all of the mentioned cards are potential counters without forcing an Elixir disadvantage.

As such, we do suggest you have a card with a big chunk of health rushing in the front line to distract all rival units and towers. Then, deploy your Wizard Trio behind the chaos scene to support the tank card and deal damage to the crown tower.

Another good use case of the Wizard Trio card is to stop your opponent from doing the same attack. That’s where you need to combine your Wizard Trio with a spell or a distraction. Barbarian Barrel or Royal Delivery are both capable cards to keep the rival’s Wizard Trio busy, while your Wizard Trio is taking out the rushing unit.

With an average Elixir cost of 4.0, the deck above provides all you need for playing aggressively or conservatively. However, it is important to use Elixir Golem with care, as its death will grant some free Elixir to your rival, leaving you at an Elixir disadvantage.

It is best to play in a defensive-focused style in the first minute of the game, but once the double Elixir phase begins, you can push forward with the combination of Elixir Golem and Wizard Trio. If you want to take less risk, you can replace Elixir Golem with Bowler, but it’s best to save Bowler for defense phase or counter-attacking plans.
