TLDR:
- Best offensive deck includes Fire Spirit, Heal Spirit, Ice Spirit, Electro Spirit, Skeletons, Zap, and Barbarian Barrel.
- Best defensive deck includes Valkyrie, Skeleton Army, Zap, Freeze, Goblin Curse, Skeletons, and Fire Spirit.
- You need three Rockets and one Zap to destroy the King Tower.
- You must deploy your Rocket earlier than your opponent when the match begins to have the upper hand.
- Use freeze before the opponent’s Rocket launches to delay it.
As we step into the second week of Season 61, Clash Royale offers a new weekly event with a brand-new Rocket card that only targets the King Tower.
The good news is, if you hit the King Tower using this new Rocket three times, you will lower its HP down to 24, which means a simple spell like Zap could end the game in your favor. But keep in mind that the same danger threatens you as well.
All cards that represent a building are banned in this event, from towers to Goblin Cage. This means you can barely stop rushing units like Hog Rider from targeting your Crown Towers or your charging Rocket. And yes, the new Rocket has a charging phase.
You need to deploy the new Rocket somewhere between your Crown Towers, and as long as it fully charges, it will act as a building, which can take damage from any opposing units. So, you should destroy the opponent’s Rocket before it launches or delay its launch using spells like Freeze.
You should also build your deck in a way that you can get the Rocket back in your hand pretty soon.
Deck 1: Defensive Focused
Cards | Elixir |
Rocket (Forced) | 7 |
Valkyrie (Evolution Spot) | 4 |
Fire Spirit | 1 |
Skeletons | 1 |
Zap | 2 |
Goblin Curse | 2 |
Freeze | 4 |
Skeleton Army | 3 |
Tower Troop | Dagger Duchess |
The biggest threat in this event that could ruin your Rockets is losing one of the Crown Towers. Without a Crown Tower, the opponent will be able to deploy troops inside your field, which allows easy and quick access to your charging Rocket. Since there is no building card available, it would be difficult to counter such attacks.
That’s why you need to have troops who can defend your Crown Towers. Valkyrie and Skeletons are your defensive troops in this deck, neutralizing any threats that could harm your Crown Tower and keeping the Rocket safe until it launches.
Moving to the Freeze, you can use it to delay the launch of the opponent’s Rocket, but it should be used in a specific period of Rocket’s charge to work.
Before the Rocket launches, it has three stages: the first stage is when the tip of the Rocket is out of the ground, the second stage is when half of the Rocket is out of the ground, and the third stage is when the Rocket is fully out of the ground and is about to be launched. You must deploy Freeze at the end of the second stage so that the Rocket freezes during the third stage of charging. Deploying it after the third stage has begun will not work.
Deck 2: Offensive Focused
Cards | Elixir |
Rocket (Forced) | 7 |
Skeletons (Evolution Spot) | 1 |
Fire Spirit | 1 |
Electro Spirit | 1 |
Ice Spirit | 1 |
Heal Spirit | 1 |
Zap | 2 |
Barbarian Barrel | 2 |
Tower Troop | Dagger Duchess |
This deck allows you to retain access to the Rocket in the quickest way possible. The important task here is to deploy the Rocket in a way that both Crown Towers can target its attackers. This way, you can also use your Spirits to distract the enemies while the Rocket is charging.
Skeletons play a crucial role here in dealing with giants and rushing units. So, make sure to use them when it’s necessary. Barbarian Barrel is also a good counter for any spam attack by your rival, while it can also distract the troops targeting the Crown Towers.
It is difficult to keep the Crown Towers safe with this deck, but it is not impossible. Indeed we had a better win record with this deck than the defensive one. So, if you deploy your troops at the right time, you will have an easy win. Also, don’t forget to hit the King Tower with a Zap after the first Rocket launch.
