Clash Royale Season 60 is all about Goblin, but it is just the beginning for this naughty race to take over the crown, as Supercell has more Goblin-related announcements down the line for 2024, including a new Goblin Champion.
Announced during the latest episode of TV Royale, Supercell will release one new Goblin Champion, one more Epic Goblin card, and three Goblin Evolutions until the end of 2024, and these are all other than the recently announced Goblin cards.
Earlier this season, Supercell released the first Goblin Evolution for Goblin Barrel, which is quite underwhelming. So, here is hope to get better Evolutions for the next three Goblin candidates.
For now, players can enjoy the addition of Goblin Queen as a new King Tower troop that comes with her very own game mode and Crown Tower troops. Making progress through the Goblin Queen’s Journey game mode will provide access to three new cards: Goblin Machine, Goblin Demolisher, and Goblin Curse.
With two more Goblin cards arriving down the line, it will be quite exciting to see how the Goblin world shapes up, and how the new cards will change the meta, especially with the arrival of the new Champion.
Currently, Little Prince is the most powerful Champion in the game, but with the June 2024 nerfs targeting Guardian’s capabilities, the use rate for this card might drop over time, making the scene ready for the new Champion to shine. At least, this is how Supercell usually does things with new cards: releasing them at an overpowered state and then nerfing them over time to match with other cards.
With Supercell’s current policy on Champion cards, you will probably be able to get the upcoming Goblin Champion for free when it launches. However, that only be available for a limited time, which then locks it behind the Path of Legends progression, though the Goblin Champion might actually become a reward for progressing further through the Goblin Queen’s Journey when it launches.
There are currently 9 Goblin cards available in Clash Royale. The arrival of Goblin Demolisher, Goblin Machine, and Goblin Curse along with the two unannounced cards will raise the number to 15 by the end of this year, making Goblins the most populated race in Clash Royale, well above Skeletons.
However, that’s only because we know how things will proceed with Goblins. With 6 seasons left until 2024 reaches an end, there are surely more updates and Evolutions to come to Clash Royale than all the announcements made so far.
This year in particular has been pretty stellar for Clash Royale, as the arrival of new Tower Troops, especially Dagger Duchess, changed the scenery of the game and added more tactical depth to it, allowing players to have more options in customizing their defensive structures in addition to the deck. The arrival of Goblin Queen as a new King Tower troop expanded the customization options even more.
In the case of announcing new cards, 2024 has also been a stellar year for Clash Royale. We are halfway through this year and we already have 4 new deck cards, with more coming soon.
