This season is Goblin-heavy in Clash Royale, and while we already have the Goblin Queen coming as a new King Tower troop along with her Goblin soldiers taking over the Crown Towers, Supercell also prepares to launch 3 new Goblin Cards.
Revealed via a teaser trailer shared by the official Clash Royale account on X, the upcoming cards include two new Goblin troops as well as a new Goblin-inspired spell. The names of the cards are yet to be revealed, but we can already guess what they are supposed to do!
The first new unit is a Legendary Goblin card, which has a Goblin wearing a mecha suit and it seems to have massive hitpoints as it is under attack by the new Dart Goblin tower troop and a Musketeer, but the HP does not deplete fast enough. So, you can probably think of it as a Mega Knight-inspired troop, though we don’t really see how it attacks the opponents.
The design of the mecha Goblin is quite similar to that of Battle Machine in Clash of Clans, which is a troop available in the Builder’s Village.
Moving over to the second card, it has a Goblin wearing a barrel armor with dynamites installed on it. The Goblin is able to throw dynamite at the opposing troops, but when targeting the Crown Tower, the Goblin rather moves quickly towards the tower to probably detonate itself next to the tower. So, it seems like it is a combination of Bomber and Wall Breakers.
Last but not least, there is a new Goblin-powered spell coming, which seems to have a quite simple usage. When you drop this spell over the opponent’s spam units like Skeletons, they turn into your Goblins, targeting the opponent’s units and towers.
More about these cards and the upcoming tower troops will be revealed during a TV Royale that is supposed to go live on Saturday.
While this new tease reveals the upcoming cards, we are yet to witness how Goblin Queen attacks the invaders. The teaser confirmed that Goblin Queen will have her own Crown Tower troop, which is a new variation of Dart Goblin, but it remains unknown what the Queen’s own attacking type is when an opponent troop approaches her tower.
However, a second teaser unveiled that Goblin Queen will throw some kind of magical projectile at enemies, and she also has a progression bar that fills in over time. Once the bar is filled, Goblin Queen can send out Goblin Babies to the battlefield.
It has been confirmed that Goblin Queen and her new Crown Tower troops will arrive next Monday, but we have no clue about the new Goblin cards yet.
The current season of Clash Royale kicked off by launching the Goblin Barrel Card Evolution, which was quite underwhelming, but it seems like the mid-season updates will bring big changes to the game, making Season 60 the most content-heavy season of 2024 so far.
Last season, Supercell introduced Void as a new spell along with the Wizard Card Evolution.
