It was only a few days earlier that the start date for beta testing of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 was revealed, and now Activision is preparing a massive giveaway to let the fans enjoy the early access period of the beta when it launches on August 30.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 now targets a release on October 25, 2024. Unlike previous years, the game will only have two beta testing periods, one exclusive to those who either have a beta key or have pre-purchased the game, and the other open to everyone. There will be no platform-exclusive beta periods, though.
Update: This method has now expired. We will update this article with new ways to get a beta code if Activision announces new methods. If you have already participated in the live stream and are lucky enough to be among the winners, then you should have received the code by now.
How To Get Early Access Beta Codes (Expired)
With the CDL Championship Playoffs 2024 kicking off soon, Activision invites all Call of Duty fans to watch the Grand Final stream on July 21 at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET / 8 PM BST / 9 PM CEST for a chance to win an early access beta key for Black Ops 6 on YouTube.
A total of 50,000 beta keys will be given away during the stream, which means watching the stream will not guarantee a key drop for you. Also, you must watch the stream for at least 60 minutes to be eligible for receiving a key.
Moreover, you will need to link your Activision and YouTube accounts to get the key in your inventory if you are lucky enough to be one of those 50,000 viewers.
How To Link Activision And YouTube Accounts
Head to YouTube and click on your profile’s avatar. Open Settings and then navigate to Connected Apps on the left-side list. Here, you can spot the Connect button next to the Activision ID.
Once you hit Connect, it will lead you to Activision’s webpage. Make sure to link the right Activision account to your YouTube profile, otherwise detaching it will be difficult.
Black Ops 6 Beta Start Dates
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 early access beta will begin on August 30 and conclude on September 4 across all platforms. An open beta will also take place from September 6 until September 6 until September 9.
During the beta testing, players will gain access to a portion of the Multiplayer mode in Black Ops 6. This will allow fans to try out the brand-new Omnimovement system before launch and provide feedback for the developers.
Black Ops 6 aims to return to the roots of the Call of Duty series, and the developers promise it through the rework of multiple gameplay mechanics. Recently, it was also revealed that the Streak loop will no longer be a thing in Black Ops 6, as each player’s stats will be reset after their in-game death.
