New DayZ Map Frostline Releases Later This Year

by Cole Phelps

After all the teasing and trademarking speculations, Bohemia Interactive finally shared the first trailer for Frostline, the new DLC map coming to DayZ later this year.

The Steam page is already up for Frostline and it says the new map will be released in Q4 2024, and you can wishlist it. Aside from the map, Frostline will also add some new diseases to the game as well as hazards that threaten any region located next to a volcano, including Sakhal. More information on this part will be revealed later.

Furthermore, you can expect new animals, updated fishing mechanics, and more challenges to keep yourself warm in the freezing cold weather of Sakhal.

Frostline is the first official DayZ map after Livonia, which was launched back in 2019. Now, while having new content always feels good, fans don’t find all those sneaky teases from Bohemia Interactive worthy of just a new map, as they thought it could be a new project, especially with how the two lines in Frosline’s logo implies a roman 2.

Anyway, love it or not, a new map and some gameplay updates are all you get this year for DayZ, but who knows, maybe bigger projects come along in the future.

With DayZ Update 1.25, all players will receive the Livonia DLC for free, which was announced a few weeks earlier and is probably a celebration for the upcoming map Frostline.

Bohemia Interactive is currently working on DayZ and Arma Reforger it’s two ongoing projects, but the biggest game in the pipeline is Arma 4, which is currently under development at the studio, and we have no clue about the release window yet.
