In an official post on Reddit shared by the COO of Battlestate Games Nikita Buyanov, the developer now offers a long list of new features to EOD Edition owners, including limited 6-month access to the PvE mode.
A massive storm was raised against Escape From Tarkov and its developer Battlestate Game, after they revealed the new controversial edition of the game for $250, including exclusive access to the new PvE mode as well as some pay-to-win items.
Now, the developers think if they allow you to play the PvE mode for several months, you may forget about all their deceptive promises. Below, you can check out all the new features offered for EOD owners:
- Faster return of insured items
- Increased personal trader buying limits by 20%
- Increased basic PMC karma (when it will be implemented)
- Access to unique hideout craft
- Increased basic charisma skill
- Special quest line with increased pockets side as a reward
- Ability to skip 2 daily quests per day free of charge
- Unique dog tag
- Unique armband
- Unique set of clothing
- Unique “Legacy” device
- High-priority matching for EOD owners for 6 months
- Access to offline PVE for EOD owners for 6 months
The vast majority of these unique features are just more pay-to-win additions to the game, but that’s not where the worst part lies. Despite promising EOD players “free access to all subsequent DLCs”, Battlestate Games still insists on keeping the PvE mode away from this version of the game, and the six-month access will not be accepted as compensation in any form.
Battlestate Games insists that PvE is a unique feature rather than DLC, but in fact, DLC means Downloadable Content, which definitely applies to this new PvE mode.
In a shameful action, Battlestate Games changed some of their wordings for the EOD Edition of the game last night, right after the community started raging over the new Unheard Edition. Including the removal of the word “Unique” for the stash given to players of EOD Edition.
And this is not all of it. A few months earlier, Nikita Buyanov shared a Reddit post and officially confirmed that they will add a new offline PvE experience for EOD owners. And now, they are insisting that the PvE mode is exclusive to The Unheard Edition. What else can you call that promise other than an embarrassing lie?
In the wake of the recent uproar against Battlestate Games, the developer was even involved in some trash-talking with the official account for Arena Breakout Infinite on X, calling the rival title a “blatant plagiarist game”. This poor behavior from Battlestate Games led to even more criticism at the company.
For, it remains unknown what would be the future of Escape From Tarkov, but several streamers announced that they would no longer stream Tarkov content as long as Battlestate Games reverts the infamous changes or makes PvE mode available to all EOD owners without a time limit.
