Farming Simulator 25: Best Order For Planting And Harvesting

by Cole Phelps

Farming Simulator 25 brings back the same core gameplay with a brand-new location that offers some new crops as well as a set of new tools and vehicles to plant or harvest.

No matter what crop you are using, following the best order of farming operations on your field will always give you the soil and the seeds inside a better opportunity to grow and eventually increase your yield significantly.

Best Farming Order

Keep in mind that this order is for an empty field. If there are already crops in your field that have been harvested, they will leave stubble that needs to be mulched. In this case, Mulching will be the first step, and the other steps are according to the following order.

  1. Fertilizing (50%)
  2. Cultivating (Shallow)
  3. Liming
  4. Seeding (During the plant calendar)
  5. Fertilizing (100%)
  6. Rolling
  7. Hoeing/Remove Weeds (If the field has weeds growing)
  8. Harvesting (During the harvest calendar)
  9. Storing Product
  10. Mulching Field

Following this order for any type of crop will work magic, as the yield will significantly increase, and the player will be able to get the most out of their field and efforts.

Keep in mind that the seeding step and the steps after it need to be done on the same day without sleeping.

All of these steps, however, require a variety of machines depending on the type of crop that has been picked by the farmer. While it would be difficult to buy them all, players can also lease some of the tools and vehicles, and pay the fee over time.

Liming, Seeding, and Fertilizing will also require purchasing raw materials from the shop. If you are playing as a new farmer, a bit part of the tools and machines will be at your disposal.

It’s recommended to begin with crops that you already have the machines for, rather than going for products that will require their own set of unique tools.
