Giants Software released a fancy cinematic trailer today to announce Farming Simulator 25, and honestly, if I hadn’t seen the title of the video, I couldn’t guess it was all about Farming Simulator 25 until the middle parts of the trailer. It’s a big effort for a simulation game, which has been put together superbly.
While we don’t get any looks at the real gameplay of the next Farming Simulation, the trailer reveals the main focus and improvements of this year’s iteration. Expect rice to have a crucial presence in Farming Simulator 25, as the next installment will take you on a long trip to Eastern Asia, where you can grow rice in lush landscapes, and bring the same formula back to other regions of the world, including North America.
What’s New In Farming Simulator 25?
The official website for Farming Simulator 25 reveals the new features in more detail, as you will be able to grow two types of rice, spinach, and some other crops that raise the total count to 20. Your stables will now have buffalos as new guests along with other unannounced animals that will join already existing cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, and horses.
Going over the machines and tools, you can expect over 400 authentic machines and items from over 150 international brands. This collection is expected to grow even more when the first major update arrives for the game.
Farming Simulator 25 will receive four massive updates in its first year of launch, including three content packs and one major expansion that will be released in Q4 2025. The DLC will add a brand new map to the game. Keep in mind that all post-launch content will be locked behind a paywall.
Overall, the game will feature three major environments set in North America, Central Europe, and Eastern Asia. As Giants Software claims, Farming Simulator 25 will bring significant visual improvements with distance fog, enhanced shadows, dynamic weather effects, and ground deformation, all powered by Giants Engine 10.
Release Date And Editions
These new visual enhancements might be the reason why Farming Simulator 25 skips last-gen consoles, releasing only on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 12, 2024.
The game is now available to pre-order through third-party retailers as well as Farming Simulator’s own website. Giants Software also announced a PC-exclusive Collector’s Edition for Farming Simulator 25 that comes with a USB Ignition Key that actually responds to in-game tractors. So, yes! If you want that ultimate immersion while playing the game, you can put the switch in the Ignition Key and start the engines yourself!
Moreover, the Collector’s Edition includes a key chain, modding tutorials, a 16-bit retro soundtrack CD by Chris Hulsbeck, three A2 posters, 32 brand stickers, a New Holland CR11 Gold Edition, and finally the game itself along with MacDon Pack.
Keep in mind that the Collector’s Edition is only available in certain regions. If you are only interested in the digital game, you can get the Standard Edition for $50 or the Deluxe Edition with Year 1 Pass for $80.
