Grinding in-game currency in Star Citizen is not easy, but there are some ways that can get the players rich much faster than just completing normal quests.
Trading illegal cargo in Star Citizen is one of the best ways to get rich fast, and the good news is it doesn’t need you to have big investments. A ship as small as an Aegis Avenger or a Drake Cutter is also enough to get drugs and sell them for a fortune.
Gasping Weevil Eggs is one of the most valuable drugs in the Star Citizen universe, and there is no place to buy it in Alpha 3.24.1, you can get it from specific bunkers around Stanton.
How To Get Gasping Weevil Eggs
Gasping Weevil Eggs spawn inside the bunkers of a specific Mercenary mission type named “Eliminate Contraband Stash“. The player will only receive this quest type after reaching Rank 3 of reputation with the local law enforcement organization, like Crusader Industries or Hurston Dynamics in the Mercenary category.
So, you simply need to complete starter-level Mercenary missions for one of the organizations until your reputation hits Rank 3. And then you will be eligible to receive Contraband Stash missions.
Once you have the mission, accept it and head to the mission marker’s location, which is a bunker. Before setting sail to the destination, however, keep in mind that these bunkers are controlled by pirate groups, which means their turrets will start shooting at your vessel as soon as you are within their radius.
If you have enough skill in taking out turrets, just do that and then park your ship next to the entrance gate. Keep in mind that the ship must have a cargo bay so that you can place Gasping Weevil Eggs inside it.
However, if you can’t shoot turrets down with the ship, then you either need a friend with a fighter to deal with them, or you must carry a ground vehicle like RSI Ursa and destroy the turrets with that. In this case, you should park your ship at a safe distance from the bunker and then approach the turrets with the ground vehicle and destroy them.
Even if your vehicle doesn’t have a weapon, you can use Scourge Railgun to get rid of the bunker turrets. Once they are down, bring your ship closer to the bunker entrance.
Now, that you are inside the bunker, there will be many pirate members to deal with. Gasping Weevil Eggs usually spawn in the lower level of the bunker, either in the server rooms or the box delivery area. They are packed in red cover and as soon as you shoot at it with a tractor beam, you will see the name Gasping Weevil Eggs appear on it.
Neon is also packed in red, but unlike Gasping Weevil Eggs, Neon usually spawns on the top floor of the bunker. They are not expensive enough and you shouldn’t waste your time collecting them.
So, while the Contraband Mission tasks player we destroying all the drug boxes, you ignore the objective and just pick up the Gasping Weevil Eggs and take them to your ship.
In order to maximize your gain, we also suggest you take the Maze boxes too. They are packed in brown and you can find a bunch of them next to Gasping Weevil Eggs usually.
How To Sell Gasping Weevil Eggs
There are multiple major destinations in Stanton to sell drugs, but two of them are popular: Brio’s Braker Yard on Daymar and Samson And Sons Salvage Yard on Wala.
We strongly suggest you head to Samson And Sons on Wala. That’s because Nine-Tails ships always roam around Brio’s Braker Yard and try to shoot down every ship coming close to that area. However, Wala is safe from NPCs, at least up until Alpha 3.24.1.
Head to the freight elevator at the salvage yard and bring it up. Now, place all the boxes on it and use the terminal to send them down and sell it.
Do note that all salvage yard freight elevators are bugged in Alpha 3.24.1. So, in this patch at least, you will not be able to sell any drugs. As a result, you are highly recommended to store drug boxes in your personal hangar for now until the developers fix the terminals.
