Invictus Launch Week 2954 Kicks Off Mid-May In Star Citizen

by Cole Phelps

With a new trailer, Cloud Imperium Games officially confirmed that the next big ship expo at Area 18 will open up its doors to all Star Citizen players on May 17, offering a wide variety of ships for free fly test in over 10 days.

This year’s Invictus Launch Week will also have some surprise guests that might not be allowed to free fly but will provide a free tour to all the visitors. Expect RSI Polaris to fly around Stanton with its massive fleet during the event. Moreover, you will have access to a free tour of Idris as well.

Aside from that, you can try out the upcoming Mirai Pulse grav-lev vehicle series, which is officially the tiniest ground vehicle ever in the verse. Mirai Pulse will make it possible for most starter ship owners to be able to carry a ground vehicle, opening up more exploration and even quest progression opportunities for them.

Anvil F7A Hornet Mk 2 is another ship that is expected to make its debut in the Invictus Launch Week. In case you own the Mk 1 version of the ship, completing the XenoThreat’s finale missions will earn you an upgrade token to Mk 2.

Regarding the fact that Anvil Aerospace and Aegis Dynamics will each take over the entire scene for two days, it is expected we see the most ships available for flying from these two manufacturers. Also, don’t worry if you don’t see Drake in the schedule above, as the company will show off its ships during the DefenseCon event.

Invictus Launch Week is a big event for every Star Citizen player, as you get the chance to upgrade your currently owned ships to something better at a discount. Usually, there are also new paint releases during the event to appreciate the player’s participation.

With Star Citizen Alpha 3.23 EPTU available to all backers, it is expected that the new patch will launch on live servers in a week at most. This is one the biggest patches that Star Citizen has ever received, and that’s why some performance hiccups are expected, though there will be at least one addendum patch down the road to further fix the problems and add the promised Personal Hangars and Cargo Elevators, along with the new Cargo Hauling missions.
