Once Human is one of those survival games that you can easily spend hundreds of hours playing and still find more weapons to craft, more structures to build, and more enemies to slay.
Similar to any other MMO title, Once Human also requires players to grind for resources, but the game also features a few gacha-game mechanics where you can spend your hard-earned resources on a mini-game and try your luck with the random rewards you get. In this case, the Wish Machine is the device we are talking about.
How To Build Wish Machine
Wish Machine is one of the structures in your Builder Menu that can be accessed via the Function Facility tab. However, before you collect the resources required to build this device, you must unlock its perk.
So, press “O” to open your Memetic perks and head to the Logistic tab. Here, look for the Wish Machine perk. Hopefully, it is a standalone perk and does not require you to unlock anything else beforehand. You must have 3 Memetic points to unlock the perk.
Once you unlock the perk, head to your home base and build the Wish Machine. You will need 25 Copper ingots, 10 Rusted Parts, 5 Metal Scraps, 3 Rubber, and 5 Glasses to build it.
How To Operate Wish Machine
Wish Machine features multiple games that change based on the season scenario. For the first season of the game, you will get to play Echoes From The Rift.
You should spend 500 Starchrom every time you want to play this game. After you hit play, a hammer will appear on the screen and multiple kittens will start to pop up from the holes. You need to knock the kittens with the hammer. Every successful hit will drop a reward. The more kittens you hit, the more rewards you will collect.
In this particular game, there is only a 5% chance to receive Legendary rewards, which could either be a weapon or an armor piece. The drop rate for Epic items is 10%, while Rare items have a 60% chance to appear.
How To Earn Starchrom
As you can guess, Starchrom is crucial to try your luck with the Wish Machine. This valuable resource cannot be crafted or collected from the environment, but there are multiple ways to obtain a significant amount of Starchrom.
Here are all the Starchrome sources in Once Human:
- Battle Pass:
- You can obtain up to 6,000 Starchrom by completing the free track of the Battle Pass.
- Events:
- Keep an eye on the events as some of them offer Starchrom.
- Currently, there is a Community Rewards event that will reward you with a total of 900 Starchrom for following Once Human on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok.
- There is also a standalone Bind Discord event that rewards you with 500 Starchrom for linking your Discord account.
- You can access the Events menu from the pause screen.
- Season Goals:
- Season Goals feature a bunch of objectives and challenges that must be completed before the end of the current season.
- As you make progress in the Season Goals tracker, you can unlock multiple rewards, including Starchrom.
- The Season Goals can be accessed from the pause screen by clicking the server tile (Manibus or Evolution’s Call) on the top right of the screen.
