Releasing in less than a week, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 provided a first look at its Year 1 roadmap, revealing all the upcoming content updates to the game until next September.
The developers plan to kick off the first season of Space Marine 2 this month by delivering ultrawide monitor support, private PvE lobbies, and adding the Sparring Arena for Battle Barge.
For those who don’t know, Battle Barge is a massive ship for Space Marines that will serve as a hub area for players, where they can upgrade equipment, pick up new missions, and train their skills in AI-filled arenas.
For cosmetic lovers, the first season of the game will bring six variants of Ultramarine skins, which are only available through the battle pass.
Moving onto the second season, available before 2025, the first content update will drop. Players can expect new PvE missions, a new Lethal difficulty level, and a new Neo-Volkite pistol. In order to add to the combat challenges, a new enemy type will also be added in Season 2.
For battle pass owners, the second season will add the Dark Angels bundle, including new champions, cosmetic, and weapon skin packs.
Season 3 and Season 4 will be available in 2025. The former is supposed to add a PvP game mode to Space Marine 2 along with some new PvE missions. The latter, on the other hand, will deliver Horde mode as well as a new weapon and another new enemy type.
The battle pass for the latter seasons will be split into two chapters, with each chapter adding new skins and champions.
Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 will be available on September 9, 2024.
