Update: Cloud Imperium Games officially confirmed in the latest roadmap update that Freight Elevators, Personal Hangars, Item Banks and Cargo Hauling missions will all arrive with Alpha 3.23.2.
Original Story: Cloud Imperium Games will not keep you waiting much longer, as Personal Hangars and Cargo Missions will arrive with the Alpha 3.23.2, but before it goes live, there will be some testing in the EPTU channel.
It was revealed through the Spectrum’s Message of the Day, where the development team shared the latest update on Alpha 3.23.2, explaining that the work on the remaining issues in the next patch is proceeding and the team expects to drop the update on the EPTU channel either on this Friday or mid next week.
Similar to the main 3.23 patch, the upcoming update will go through all five waves of the EPTU channel, but you can expect each wave to receive access to the update in a shorter period than before.
Cloud Imperium Games wants to make sure that there will be nothing break personal hangars from operating perfectly, as even a minor bug could make the game hardly playable, as it is a changed tied to all ships and vehicles in the game.
Aside from Personal Hangars, you can expect the arrival of Cargo Hauling missions as well. This mission type is a game changer for players in the verse who opt to cargo ships, as they can eventually have their job-specific missions similar to salvage, instead of trading cargo on their own that is filled with risks. This mission type will specifically focus on hauling cargo to and from Distribution Centers.
Star Citizen Alpha 3.23.2 will include more than just personal hangars and cargo missions, but we will need to wait for the first EPTU patch notes before we can find out what else will be coming with the next patch. It’s worth noting that the developers will address the current cargo duplication exploit with the upcoming patch.
The live version of Alpha 3.23.2 is expected to arrive after Invictus Launch Week concludes. This is also the same period when the final phase of the Overdrive Initiative is promised to be released.
