With the latest PTU patch for Alpha 3.24.2, Star Citizen players can now purchase the long-awaited revamped version of a legendary fighter from in-game shops. F7C Hornet Mk 2 can now be picked up from Astro Armada in Area 18.
It was back in Alpha 3.23 that the F7C Hornet Mk 2 became available for players, along with an F7A Hornet Mk 2 upgrade token for those who managed to complete the Overdrive Initiative event. As is the case with all military-grade ships, F7A will never become purchasable in the in-game shops, however, the new base for F7C is already available in Alpha 3.24.2.
Differences Between F7C Hornet Mk 1 And Mk 2
F7C Hornet Mk 2 comes at a price of almost 4.9 million aUEC which is approximately 70% more expensive than the Mk 1 model. However, the differences between the two ships are well worth it.

All around, the F7C Hornet Mk 2 is a massive upgrade compared to its older variant, and the best thing about this upgrade is the Size-4 mount for pilot weapons that makes Hornet Mk 2 a deadlier medium fighter in the ‘verse.
Aside from the new Anvil ship, CIG has also added Aegis Sabre Firebird to the in-game shops. This new variant of Firebird was also introduced back in Alpha 3.23, with an excessive focus on carrying missiles. Firebird has a more sleek design compared to previous Sabre variants and it comes with a bespoke missile launcher on the belly.
Firebird is capable of carrying up to 12 Size-3 missiles, and it is the only ship in the ‘verse that can launch six missiles simultaneously at a locked target. Firebird can be purchased from NewDeal at Lorville.
Moreover, RSI Ursa Medivac, Argo MPUV Tractor, and Argo ATLS are some other vehicles added to the in-game shops with Alpha 3.24.2, which will probably go live before CitizenCon 2024 kicks off on Saturday.
