Yesterday, Cloud Imperium Games delivered Star Citizen Alpha 3.23.1 update to the PTU channel, revealing that it will mostly focus on more optimization over Fleet Week and the overall Invictus Launch Week experience, without mentioning anything about personal hangars or cargo elevators.
Aimed to be delivered with Alpha 3.23, instanced hangars were removed from the patch a few weeks before its release as the developers found some bugs that needed more time to be fixed.
Currently, personal hangars and cargo missions target an Alpha 3.23.X release, but now we know that it won’t happen with Alpha 3.23.1, as the first addendum update will try to fix some bugs that already made it to the Live version from EPTU.
It is worth noting that the new PTU build now allows you to check out the Invictus Launch Week halls, with the free tour of Idris and the fleet of Polaris arriving on Monday at the PTU build. Many players are excited to take a look at the interior space of Idris and check out the colossal size of Polaris when roaming in the space.
Invictus Launch Week 2954 (2024) will go live on May 17, hosting most of the existing ships in the verse, allowing all players to rent them for free while the expo is running until May 29. Expect game servers to be saturated when Invictus Launch Week goes live, as Star Citizen will also host a free fly, allowing everyone to step into the verse for free for a limited time.
Cloud Imperium Games also promised that if you purchased a ship using in-game currency just before Alpha 3.23 went live and you don’t have access to it in the new patch, it is more than likely that you will get back your ship when Alpha 3.23.1 drops onto the live servers.
As you may already know, Alpha 3.23 comes with a full aUEC wipe, which is why many players tried to spend everything they had on ships during the last days of Alpha 3.22.1, but some of those purchased ships didn’t transfer successfully to the new build.
