Star Citizen Alpha 3.23.2 is yet to be released on the EPTU servers, but a new image was shared in the recent PU Monthly Report from the update’s Freight Elevator terminal hypes the community about the upcoming features once again, thanks to the beautifully designed inventory manager that will hopefully help us a lot to sort out everything before leaving our very own hangar.
The freight elevator’s terminal comes with a never-before-seen design in Star Citizen, which is the main reason why players are quite happy with the. The design looks quite slick and clean, and it comes with all the necessary tools to make inventory and cargo management pretty easy.
You have item categories, the option to expand each item that contains other items within, and most importantly, a “select all” option that could make life enjoyable again for the citizens!
There is still one big missing feature, however, and that’s the search bar. We don’t see any option to allow us to search for a certain item via its name, and while we can still live without it, this is still an early build and we can hope to have it when the patch releases onto live servers.
Based on the terminal screen, it seems your total space in a hangar will be limited to 1,000 SCU. While that’s quite big, but with the upcoming cargo haulers like Drake Ironclad, you may not even be able to store a full ship’s cargo in your hangar, though it will be enough for the ships currently available in-game.
Cloud Imperium Games is currently testing Alpha 3.23.1a in the PTU channel, which will bring the final phase of the Overdrive Initiative as well as Jumptown. Once this patch makes it to Live servers, we can expect the arrival of 3.23.2 to EPTU servers, the update that will bring personal hangars, freight elevators, cargo hauling missions, and item bank.
Originally, Alpha 3.23.2 was supposed to launch on the EPTU channel this week, but the work on some of the 3.23.1a issues has been extended. So, we currently have little information on when we should await the release of Alpha 3.23.2.
It is yet to be seen whether there will be more updates after 3.23.2 in the current patch cycle, but the next major upgrade will be Alpha 4.0, which has currently been slated for Q3 2024, delivering lots of quality-of-life improvements along with the next star system, Pyro!
