You Can Now Check Out Idris-M Interior In Star Citizen 3.23.1 PTU

by Cole Phelps

If you hop onto the PTU channel in Star Citizen Alpha 3.23.1, you will be able to board Aegis Idris-M, the biggest ship coming to Invictus Launch Week 2954 in just a few days.

While this magnificent tour will be available to everyone on May 17, the PTU build opened up access to the ship earlier to remove any possible bugs before the entire community populates the corridors of Idris.

Hopefully, YouTuber Olli43 recently shared a new video, showing off some highlights from the maze-like corridors of this giant ship of Aegis Dynamics, while a full crew of AI operating it at Crusader’s Seraphim Station.

While you won’t be able to sit behind the turrets or the pilot seats, you can go anywhere and check every single room in the ship, including its massive hangar that can host up to three small fighters. There is also a smaller hangar for an Argo MPUV that can be used as a small drop ship to deploy troops onto the ground battles.

Despite being a military-focused ship, Idris-M still provides over 800 SCU of cargo space, which is a colossal amount for transporting military vehicles besides cargo.

On the top floor of Idris-M, you can enter a bridge-shaped command center, where you have an amazing field of view over the surrounding area of the ship.

While you can just leave your ship in space and enter Idris-M from its open cargo space door, the ship is actually accessible through the Docking Port at Serphim Station.

The interior design looks a bit like Hammerhead, another ship from Aegis Dynamics, but you start to realize the difference in scale as you explore different floors. Hopefully, you can use the FPS mini-map to navigate easily inside the ship without getting lost.

During this year’s Invictus Launch Week, players will also have a chance to check out RSI Polaris, the upcoming capital ship, though you won’t be able to board this one. A fleet centering around Polaris will take place in space, allowing players to get up close and have a look at the exterior design and size of the ship.
