RSI Polaris is the first-ever capital ship to release in Star Citizen, and that already makes it the most anticipated upcoming ship to many of the players, no matter if they have already pledged for it or not.
Cloud Imperium Games officially revealed during CitizenCon 2024 that RSI Polaris will release in Q4 2024. With that in mind, there could be two possible release dates for the ship. The first is IAE 2954 which will go live on November 22, and the second possible option is when Alpha 4.0 goes live, which is likely some day in December 2024.
RSI Polaris Price And Loaner
The pre-order price tag for RSI Polaris is $750, but the ship is not available for pre-order anymore, and if it launches at IAE 2954, it will likely be priced a little higher than the concept sale. This increase in price is usually around 10%, but we can’t confirm it at the moment.
Those who have already pre-ordered Polaris receive access to Hammerhead and Vanguard Harbinger as loaners until Polaris officially releases onto the live servers.
RSI Polaris Stats And Loadout
As a capital ship, Polaris will come with a hangar that is estimated to fit ships as big as Aegis Vanguard series, though that is just an assumption. That being said, all light fighters will fit inside the hangar unless they an unreasonably high height.
When it comes to the ships loadout, Polaris will not have pilot weapons, which is not surprising for a capital ship of this size. The most impressive part of the loadout, however, is the torpedo bay that comes with 28 torpedoes distributed between four missile racks.
