Star Citizen PU monthly report for April 2024 is now out, and it reveals some significant progression in multiple parts, including the development of RSI Zeus and Anvil Legionnaire ships, with the former getting its cockpit grey-box complete, while the latter successfully surpasses the white-box stage.
According to Cloud Imperium Games, the ship art team is continuing with the beauty and polish stage for RSI Zeus, one of the most anticipated upcoming ships to Star Citizen that was officially revealed during last year’s CitizenCon.
The cockpit of Zeus is now grey-box complete and will be the standard for all variants of the ship. The developers are now polishing the habitation area, with the cargo room, mess hall, and central hallway nearing completion.
Aside from Zeus, CIG also shared some news on Anvil Legionnaire, which is now white-box complete while developers exploring options for the collapsable cover built into the boarding tunnel, after they were asked to improve usability when boarding hostile vessels.
There is no news on when we can expect these ships to be flight-ready, but regarding how close RSI Zeus has gotten to completion, we could probably hear or see more about it when we are close enough to Alpha 4.0.
RSI Zeus Mk 2 will come in three variants: ES (exploration and discovery), MR (combat and interdiction), and CL (cargo hauling). It is yet to be seen whether all variants will be available together, or similar to Crusader’s Spirit series, each ship will drop in a different patch.
Aside from the ship updates, Cloud Imperium Games shared tons of other milestones hit in April 2024, and you can read through a summary of them down below:
- AI ships in Alpha 3.23 will have limited ammo when firing Ballistic weapons
- New thruster audio implemented to all ships for Alpha 3.23
