New reports from players who have received access to Star Citizen Alpha 3.23 confirm that a massive increase in ship prices is about to take place with the next patch, as some ships will be three times more expensive!
According to a list of new prices shared by a Reddit user, Alpha 3.23 will almost increase the in-game price for all the ships and ground vehicles significantly. Just to give you an example to weigh the new changes, Crusader C2 Hercules has gone up from 4.9 million aUEC to 18.9 million aUEC, increased by over 300%.
While most ships have become more expensive in-game, there is a limited number of ships like Anvil C8R that have experienced a drop in value. Check out the old and new prices for each ship below.

Aside from ships, the price tags for ground vehicles also experience a significant rise in the PU. This is yet to be seen how players will react to this when Alpha 3.23 goes live.
Hopefully, Star Citizen has increased the price for RCM salvage materials slightly, which will make this job a bit more efficient than before, but that increase is not at all in line with the massive hike in ship prices.
Raising the price for some giant bombers like A2 Hercules is indeed a good decision as it makes the ship less accessible to players, which results in fewer bombardments during events like Jumptown.
However, increasing the price for most fighter ships will make the grind significantly harder in Alpha 3.23, unless CIG increases the pay rate for quests as well.
