Almost all Star Citizen ships are added to the in-game shops after a few patches, allowing players to own them by spending in-game currency rather than through the pledge store.
The in-game price tag for ships doesn’t change too often, though CIG did deliver a massive price hike back in Alpha 3.23 to give more value to some of the bigger ships that come with multiple functionalities.
There are, however, some exceptions as well. F8C Lightning, for example, will not be available via the in-game shops anytime soon, unless after the release of Squadron 42. A similar rule also applies to Aegis Sabre Raven, which was exclusive to a crossover with Intel and will not be available via in-game shops.
