Tencent officially confirmed that Arena Breakout: Infinite, the company’s take on a Tarkov-like shooter will launch on PC in the near future.
Revealed with a brief teaser trailer, a closed beta will launch for Arena Breakout: Infinite for PC in May 2024. The exact release date is yet to be disclosed but you can already visit the game’s Steam page and add it to your wishlist.
Hopefully, you can check out the system requirements for the upcoming closed beta on Steam. For the minimum enjoyable experience, you will need an Nvidia RTX 2060 or an AMD RX 5600 XT graphics card, along with 100 GB of free space, 16 GB of RAM, and an Intel Core-i7 9700 or a Ryzen 7 3700X as your CPU.
Based on the initial system requirements, the game does seem a bit unoptimized, but it remains unknown how it actually performs on a PC with the recommended specs.
If you are interested in giving it a whirl while in closed beta, head over to this link, create a Level Pass account, and then you are all set to sign up for the Beta. Also, make sure that your GPU meets the minimum requirements mentioned earlier, as it seems quite important for the developers.
Multiple competitors have been released so far for Escape From Tarkov, but none of them was able to actually challenge the Russian developers at Battlestate Games.
Arena Breakout: Infinite was first launched on mobile, and it was wildly criticized for making the game look exactly like a Tarkov clone on mobile. Now, the same title is coming to PC, and it remains unknown how successful it can be compared to its source of inspiration.
Releasing on Steam is indeed a plus for Arena Breakout: Infinite and its marketing campaign, but that is not enough to convince people to leave Escape From Tarkov, especially knowing that Battlestate Games is working hard to release the 1.0 version of the game in a year or two.
