TopSpin 2K25 Early Access & Standard Release Time

by Cole Phelps

Thirteen years after its predecessor’s release, TopSpin 2K25 is here to revive the series once again, just when we were starting to feel the lack of a triple-A Tennis simulator.

Developed by the studio behind the Mafia series, TopSpin 2K25 will have a pretty similar formula to that of the NBA 2K series, where you can create your very own character and start climbing up in the overall ranking of Tennis players from the rock bottom.

What Time Will TopSpin 2K25 Come Out?

If you pre-purchase the Deluxe or Grand Slam Edition of TopSpin 2K25, you will gain access to the game early on April 23 at local midnight time on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, and at 12 AM ET/5 AM BST/2 PM AEST on PC. The Standard Edition, however, will launch on April 26 at local midnight time for consoles, and at the same times as above on PC.

Unfortunately, 2K Games has not shared any information on when you can start pre-loading the game. Hopefully, TopSpin 2K25 does not force a persistent internet connection, though playing the MyPlayer mode does require you to become online.

Featuring 24 playable heroes, TopSpin 2K25 will license the most important Tennis tournaments, including Roland-Garros, Wimbledon, US Open, Paris Masters, ATP Finals, Australian Open, BNP Paribas, and Miami Open.

As we get closer to any of these real-life tournaments, a corresponding season will go live in the game with free and premium upgrades to earn. While more details are yet to be shared, 2K Games calls its seasonal content roadmap Centre Court Pass.

This is a system quite similar to Battle Pass in online shooter games. Six seasons of content have been planned for TopSpin 2K25, spanning from Spring 2024 to Spring 2025.

Similar to the NBA 2K series, TopSpin 2K25 will also receive Locker Codes from time to time, by redeeming which you can add some bonus items to your career, including cosmetic items, XP boosts, and in-game currency.

Despite featuring some big names like Roger Federer or Serena Williams, some other famous Tennis players like Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, or Aryna Sabalenka are absent in TopSpin 2K25.

It’s worth noting that the PC version of TopSpin 2K25 will be based on the PS4 and Xbox One versions, which is why it is priced at $59.99, unlike the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S version which costs $69.99.
